In some ways, Tasuka embodies a familiar anime archetype: an ordinary student who encounters protagonist and bears witness to a wondrous series of events; think Manta from Shaman King. However, Tasuka has his own journey of self-discovery; think shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Tasuka wears a standard Japanese school button-up. His yellow hair & purple eyes reference to Genjo Sanzo from Gensoumaden Saiyuki (though the two couldn't be more different).
