Gallery IYN様主催の「beautiful4」展に出展したイラストです。

こちらの作品では3月の誕生石である、アクアマリンとアイオライトをモチーフに取り入れました。

アクアマリンもアイオライトもどちらも船乗りのお守りとして使われていたというお話からイメージをふくらませて、七つの海を守る女神様を描きました。

女神様の装飾品は魚や貝など、海のモチーフからデザインを考えました。

装飾品に関しては描くのがとても大変でしたが、デザインを考えたりするのがとても楽しかったです。

七つの海はそれぞれ時間帯や天候、年代、場所が異なり、昔から現代に至るまでずっと見守ってくれている様子を描きました。

This illustration was exhibited at the "beautiful4" exhibition organized by Gallery IYN.

In this work, I use aquamarine and iolite, the birthstones for March, as motifs.

I expanded on the story that both aquamarine and iolite were used as talismans for sailors, and depicted a goddess who protects the seven seas.

I came up with designs for the goddess's ornaments based on sea motifs such as fish and shells.

Drawing the ornaments was very difficult, but I had a lot of fun coming up with the designs.

I depicted the seven seas, each with a different time of day, weather, era, and location, watching over us from ancient times to the present day.
